Yes — electric scooters are legal to use in Sweden. They are classified as bicycles as long as the maximum speed is 25 km/h and the motor power does not exceed 250 W. EcoDrift scooters meet these requirements, so you can ride them on cycle paths and roads where bicycles are permitted.
No – you don't need a driver's license to ride an electric scooter in Sweden or Norway, as long as the scooter stays within the legal speed and power limits. Drivers must be at least 15 years old to use electric scooters safely and legally.
In Norway, e-scooters are also treated as bicycles. You may ride them on cycle paths, cycle routes and roads, but not on pavements. The maximum permitted speed is 20 km/h. A helmet is strongly recommended, and night riding requires both front and rear lights.
