Battery capacity and the quoted range help you plan your journeys. Allow for the full distance, including the return trip, and leave a sensible reserve. Rider weight, hills, temperature, speed and frequent stops all affect energy use, so real-world range can be shorter than the maximum figure. Follow the model’s charging and storage guidance and use a charger intended for its battery.

Wheels and ride comfort

Pneumatic tyres provide an elastic layer between the wheel and the ground. Pressure affects rolling behaviour and how bumps feel, making pressure checks a regular part of looking after them.

Wheels, tyres and any suspension work together as the surface changes. Their dimensions help you compare the model with other options and judge the setup against your usual routes. Look at tyre construction as well as wheel size. Inspect tyre condition regularly and, where pneumatic tyres are fitted, follow the manufacturer’s pressure guidance.
