Electric bike
ENGWE Engine X — Electric bike
ENGWE Engine X combines 20-inch wheels, 20 × 4.0-inch tyres, front and rear suspension and a folding construction. The 48 V / 13 Ah battery is removable. This combination gives you several practical aspects to assess, both when riding and when storing the bike.
Motor and battery
Motor power is listed as 250 W. Read the power figure alongside the vehicle's weight and included equipment. A single power rating cannot describe the whole riding experience. The transmission has 7 gears. Changing gear lets you adapt pedalling resistance as your speed or the gradient changes.
The stated range is up to 120 km. Consider the whole planned journey when deciding how far the battery needs to take you. A charge takes approximately 6 hours. Range varies with temperature, rider weight and the way you ride.
Wheels, comfort and brakes
Tyres and load also affect how the ride feels. The pneumatic tyres have an off-road tread. Adjust tyre pressure in accordance with the model's instructions.
Braking equipment: disc brakes at the front and rear. In a disc brake, the pads press against the brake disc. Pad condition and correct adjustment therefore matter throughout use. Get to know the brake response at a gentle pace, and adapt your speed to visibility and grip.
Fit and equipment
With a listed weight of 31.7 kg, getting it to its storage space needs to work just as well as the ride itself. The maximum load is 150 kg. Consider the rider's weight and any luggage within the limit described in the manual. The frame assembly folds down. This reduces its storage footprint, but does not change the weight you need to lift. The saddle and handlebar positions should let you reach the brakes without an uncomfortable stretch.
The battery is removable. This lets you plan battery handling separately from the whole vehicle, following the removal and charging instructions.
Details to help you choose
The battery specified for ENGWE Engine X is 48 V / 13 Ah. Volts describe voltage and ampere-hours describe capacity; when comparing different voltages, the Ah figure alone is not enough.
Care between rides
To keep ENGWE Engine X working as intended, inspect tyres, brakes and fastenings at the intervals set out in the manual. Carry out checks with the model stationary and follow the instructions for its particular components.
Choose the right version
Start with what you need from your electric bike: the length of your rides, the surfaces you use and where it will be stored between outings. This makes it easier to identify the features that actually matter to you.
The quoted range is not a promise of the distance available on every charge. Check the model version, vehicle classification and permitted use wherever you intend to ride. Ask us about the version.
Refer to the manual for instructions specific to your version.
Hills, cold weather and repeated starts can reduce the distance per charge.
Battery condition, the charging location and handling between rides all belong to the same care routine.

Questions before you buy
How far can I travel on one charge?
Range is a stated maximum, not a guarantee. Speed, temperature, terrain, rider weight and assistance level affect the distance you can travel.
For e-bikes, maximum range refers to pedal assistance where stated in the model information. It should not be compared directly with throttle-only range.
How long does charging take?
The stated charging time is approximately 6 hours. Battery level, temperature and charger affect the time. Follow the model’s manual.
What should I consider if I need to carry it?
This model weighs 31.7 kg. Consider stairs and loading it into a car when comparing, even if the design can fold.
What should I check before the first ride?
Read the manual and check fasteners, brakes, tyres and any folding mechanism. Check the delivery contents and that the charger is intended for the model. Contact us before riding if you need help with assembly.
How do I know if this model fits me?
Compare the frame dimensions and saddle adjustment with your height and inside leg. You should reach the brakes comfortably and dismount with control. Consider storage space and where you will charge the battery.
Looking after your vehicle
Check tyre pressure, brakes and fasteners regularly as instructed in the manual. Use the correct charger and follow the battery temperature guidance. When ordering spare parts, match the model, model year and connections.
How do I find the right spare parts?
Search for the model name in our spare-parts category. Always compare version, dimensions and connectors before ordering. A similar model name does not guarantee compatibility.
